Job Advertisement: Engineer in Testing Operations
Do you have a technical background and an interest in testing operations within electronic warfare and command support systems? We are now looking for a new team member for our verification and validation operations in cyber testing and evaluation. Would you like to be part of qualified projects where you are involved from needs assessment to delivery? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
About the Position
Testing and Evaluation Cyber (T&E) contributes to the Swedish Armed Forces acquiring the required capabilities by verifying and validating (VoV) functional chains and technical collaboration within command support systems. As an engineer in the testing operations, you will lead and conduct tests and report results related to systems in electronic warfare, Counter-UAS (anti-drone systems), and command support systems.
The work includes planning, leading, and structuring the testing operations with a focus on activities, quality, and timelines, as well as monitoring, compiling, and analyzing collected data.
The position involves many points of contact, both nationally and internationally. You will be part of a project group that includes representatives from FMV, the Armed Forces, the Total Defense Research Institute (FOI), suppliers, and other authorities. You will also support T&E Cyber's other testing operations in the role of test leader.
The position is located in Enköping, and travel both domestically and internationally is required.
About You
We are looking for someone who has completed a technical upper secondary education or has equivalent skills acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. You should also have experience working in a relevant technical field. Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as well as a valid B driver's license, are required.
We prefer candidates with experience in electronic warfare systems, portable communication systems within the Armed Forces, communication equipment, or practical testing of technical equipment and testing operations. Experience in system development and Systems Engineering according to ISO-15288 is a plus. If you also have experience handling classified information and international collaborations, that is also meritorious.
It is also advantageous if you have a degree as a civil or university engineer, computer scientist, or another education relevant to the field. Education in electronic warfare or the Armed Forces' communication systems and a drone license from the Transport Agency are also seen as a plus, but are not requirements.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, who is attentive and has a constructive approach to problem-solving. You work in a structured manner and are proactive. Furthermore, we see that you are self-driven, take responsibility, and act with integrity.
